We have delivered

Building a stage for Adelaide voices to be heard.

Like everyone else, our council has faced a challenging few years. It was imperative that, as people returned to the city we focused on creating a safe, inclusive and vibrant environment for residents, businesses and visitors alike.

The following initiatives and developments activated the city, once again bringing a lively and exciting cultural program to life:

The creation of a new City Skate Park. An inclusive, family-oriented space co-designed with the skater community. We added upgrades to the new park designs, including Olympic standard bowls and lighting.
We opened the City Shed, a place for ALL to tinker, talk and take on community projects in a safe and collaborative environment.
Public spaces were activated with new art installations - who could forget the recent landing of the larger-than-life Pigeon in Gawler Place, the Rhombohedron and soon the Ring!
Adelaide City is a UNESCO City of Music, and to celebrate our city’s music legends we unveiled four of the five City of Music Laneways, recognising Sia, Cold Chisel, No Fixed Address and Paul Kelly.
We introduced the Lord Mayor's Heritage Promotion Advisory to advocate for and bring the new Heritage Strategy to life.
Our cultural strategic partnerships supported artists and brought more arts and culture to the city.
