Building a better future for our city.

The nationwide economic impacts of COVID-19 have seen our city face many hardships. However, building a thriving economy and lively city space while looking after the needs of our residents, has been a main focus of my council, both pre and post the unforeseen events of 2020, 2021 and 2022.

The $20 million Reignite Adelaide program featured main street improvement grants, shopfront grants, live music programs and street art.
Market Square was developed in partnership with ICD, and the $400 million arcade redevelopment commenced construction to create a world-class fresh food destination. This precinct will host 218 residential apartments, 20,000m2 of A-grade office space, an 11,000m2 retail centre, a 248-room premium hotel and onsite childcare.
After 30+ years as a blighted site, Commercial & General has commenced construction on the $250 million development of 88 O’Connell. It will bring nearly 500 new residents and 4oo workers to a new destination.
‘Ten Gigabit Adelaide’ is Australia’s first city-wide fibre optic network. The rollout of this initiative connected 1,000 buildings across the CBD and North Adelaide, ensuring they can reliably share and receive high volumes of data at a phenomenal speed of 10Gbps.
After 20 years in the making, the Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA) is officially established to focus on our city’s growth, in business, residential and visitor sectors, as priorities on its agenda.
A renewed focus on main streets working in collaboration with businesses, residents, organisations and property owners.
