We will focus on reducing costs for our ratepayers, deliver better waste programs, cut red tape and make it easier to do business in the city. We will invite and welcome our teachers, nurses, firefighters, police, hospitality and artists into the heart of the city in long-term affordable housing.
Revitalised main streets and precincts.
Small businesses are the backbone of Adelaide’s economy employing thousands of people. We will make our small businesses stand out, in Adelaide we don’t take a cookie cutter approach – we are innovators, artisans, experiential and will attract the attention of the world.
We will deliver public realm upgrades and bring new life to our main streets, including Hutt, O’Connell, Hindley and Melbourne Streets, and the Market District. We will curate unique precincts and experiences throughout our city in collaboration with city businesses.
Deliver a digital marketplace and showcase our hospitality and retail sectors.
Delivery of our Main Street master plans and public realm upgrades in Hutt, Melbourne and Hindley Streets.
Develop and deliver the Master Plan for O’Connell Street to complement the 88 O’Connell development and the new Adelaide Aquatic and Wellbeing Centre.

Building a better future for our city.
The nationwide economic impacts of COVID-19 have seen our city face many hardships. However, building a thriving economy and lively city space while looking after the needs of our residents, has been a main focus of my council, both pre and post the unforeseen events of 2020, 2021 and 2022.
The $20 million Reignite Adelaide program featured main street improvement grants, shopfront grants, live music programs and street art.
Market Square was developed in partnership with ICD, and the $400 million arcade redevelopment commenced construction to create a world-class fresh food destination. This precinct will host 218 residential apartments, 20,000m2 of A-grade office space, an 11,000m2 retail centre, a 248-room premium hotel and onsite childcare.
After 30+ years as a blighted site, Commercial & General has commenced construction on the $250 million development of 88 O’Connell. It will bring nearly 500 new residents and 4oo workers to a new destination.
‘Ten Gigabit Adelaide’ is Australia’s first city-wide fibre optic network. The rollout of this initiative connected 1,000 buildings across the CBD and North Adelaide, ensuring they can reliably share and receive high volumes of data at a phenomenal speed of 10Gbps.
After 20 years in the making, the Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA) is officially established to focus on our city’s growth, in business, residential and visitor sectors, as priorities on its agenda.
