We will deliver
Adelaide Park Lands.
We will learn from the wisdom of the Aboriginal elders to care for, connect and protect our country. We will fund a Youth Ranger Program through the Adelaide Park Lands Foundation, ensure no net loss, work to renew and create greater accessibility and more beautiful places. We will upgrade and complete walking, cycling and running trails and deliver more places for families to enjoy.
Safe, thriving neighbourhoods.
We will be a Vanguard city for homelessness and be a city that champions wellness and welcomes all. We will deliver affordable housing, upgrade residential amenity, underground powerlines, progress bikeways and end-to-end cycling facilities, implement city-wide lighting and safety using the latest smart technology.
We have delivered
A community driven grassroots approach to meaningful change.
Inclusion is integral to my vision for a thriving and united city.
My council held the first Kaurna Cultural Burn in more than 200 years. Kaurna Kardla Parrinthi saw the community gathered in the Adelaide Park Lands for this occasion.
I am the proud co-chair of the Reconciliation Committee with Aunty Yvonne Agius and community Elders. Together, we delivered our third stretch Reconciliation Action Plan.
Another momentous and incredibly special event was the ‘Keys to your City’ event, which commemorated and forever acknowledges Uncle Lewis Yerloburka O’Brien AO for his significant contribution to recapturing the Kaurna language and re-engaging Karuna youth.
The City of Adelaide is an inaugural and ongoing partner of the Adelaide Zero project, working to assist, support and eradicate homelessness.
