We have delivered

A community driven grassroots approach to meaningful change.

Inclusion is integral to my vision for a thriving and united city.

My council held the first Kaurna Cultural Burn in more than 200 years. Kaurna Kardla Parrinthi saw the community gathered in the Adelaide Park Lands for this occasion.

I am the proud co-chair of the Reconciliation Committee with Aunty Yvonne Agius and community Elders. Together, we delivered our third stretch Reconciliation Action Plan.

Another momentous and incredibly special event was the ‘Keys to your City’ event, which commemorated and forever acknowledges Uncle Lewis Yerloburka O’Brien AO for his significant contribution to recapturing the Kaurna language and re-engaging Karuna youth.

The City of Adelaide is an inaugural and ongoing partner of the Adelaide Zero project, working to assist, support and eradicate homelessness.

In partnership with the state government, the Quentin Kenihan inclusive playspace was designed and unveiled - a truly accessible space for children of all abilities.

Our 2019-22 Disability and Inclusion Action Plan includes initiatives such as a ‘Changing Places' facility, accessible parking and community programs aimed at greater connection to people’s lived experiences.
Saved the Free City Connector Bus providing daily free city transport jointly funded by Adelaide Metro.
Community Centres, gardens and libraries – continuing to deliver on essential community service needs.
