We have delivered
Establishing lasting frameworks to help our city thrive.
My council, working in tandem with the CEO, has implemented sound structures and policies that guide us to achieve our vision and objectives no matter the competing and changing economic, environmental and social issues.
In short, my council wants to ensure that we are doing the right things in a timely, transparent, inclusive and accountable manner.
The Treasury Policy – acts to ensure our borrowings stay within the prudential limits.
Future Fund – to reinvest in revenue-generating assets to reduce the reliance on rates.
Low-Cost Capital - Adelaide city council froze the rate in the dollar for the ninth consecutive year. We reactivated the city with fee-free events for two years, delivered innovative user changes and cut red tape.
Park Lands Foundation – establishing a framework for the foundation to accept DGR (tax-deductible) donations for projects in the Adelaide Park Lands. This will include Kaurna rangers, education programs and the greater biodiversity of planting.
A budget brought back to black and a break-even budget for future years.
Revised procurement policy to ensure social and cultural outcomes, not simply economic.
More transparency than ever before.
